Brett Baekey

I grew up climbing in New England and quickly developed a love for traditional rock and ice climbing in places like the Gunks and Adirondacks of New York. I moved to Colorado in 2012 to attend Colorado College and my love of all things climbing flourished. I spent at least as much time in the mountains as I did in the classroom, challenging myself on test piece rock, ice and mixed routes throughout North America. I have extensive personal climbing experience ranging from successful ascents of seldom repeated alpine climbs in Alaska and Canada, as well as a handful of first ascents. I began guiding out of a desire to share my passion for climbing with others in a way that inspires their own personal growth and development. I find endless joy in helping others learn about themselves and the environments they cherish. I joined Mountain Trip in 2017 and have guided four trips on Denali since then. I currently live in Washington, enjoying all the Cascade have to offer. I look forward to sharing an awesome mountain experience with you!

I am an AMGA Apprentice Rock Guide. I also hold current WFR (Wilderness First Responder) certification and Level 2 avalanche training.
