Chris Cullaz

I began my love affair with the outdoors as a young kid in Scouting, learning about camping, backpacking and rock climbing. I chose to go to college in Vermont, where my access to these activities only increased as well as diversified into backcountry split-boarding, ice climbing and instructing others on how to do these safely. After graduation I headed out West, just like all the other wanderers and dreamers who find the East just a tad too small. I have had the privilege of working in Joshua Tree teaching rock climbing, ski guiding in the Sawtooth Mountains, teaching mountaineering in the many mountain ranges of Colorado and exploring and adventuring in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon and Costa Rica. I have been working for the Colorado Outward Bound School for four years but have been making the transition into guiding. I am actively pursuing certification through the AMGA and have completed courses in the Rock, Ski and Alpine disciplines. I am returning for my second year with Mountain Trip and I am beyond excited to get back on the ‘Great One’
