I began working for Mountain Trip during the 2014 season, guiding two trips on Denali’s West Buttress. In addition to spending time in the Alaska Range, I also work in the Chugach Mountains as an apprentice guide for Valdez Heli Ski Guides, and as a mountaineering and splitboarding instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS).
Prior to my current jobs, I have instructed extended backcountry expeditions for numerous high school programs in Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. I am a Wilderness First Responder, and have completed a Level II Avalanche Course as well as numerous mountaineering and backcountry skiing training programs. When I am not guiding or instructing, I live in Jackson, WY where I work as a carpenter and spend all of my free time touring in the Tetons.
