More good stuff happening in Alaska! Yesterday gui More good stuff happening in Alaska! Yesterday guide @elias.the.spaniard, along with Jeff Boland and Sam Hall, reached the summit of the Mooses Tooth. This is Elias’ 13th time successfully guiding the route.

The Mooses Tooth climbs 16 pitches of ice in steep snow, and is a classic alpine objective for strong technical climbers.

Congrats to these fellas on the crush!

Despite making the hard decision to not run any Ev Despite making the hard decision to not run any Everest expeditions this year, our Everest Base Camp Team 2022—comprised of John and Ann Marie Ruddy, lead by guide @itsmedavenesis—has boots on the ground! They are nearly one week into their three-week trek to the Himalaya.

After spending a couple of days exploring the bustling city of Kathmandu, they began their trek through the Khumbu Valley.

Their first stop was the village of Lukla, located in the foothills of the Himalaya, before arriving in Namche Bazaar at an altitude of 11,300’.

Following two nights of acclimatization, they moved up valley to the village of Tengboche, home of the famous Tengboche Monastery. The iconic peaks of the Himalaya, including Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and of course Mount Everest, are starting to reveal themselves and dominate the view!

Follow the team’s journey at the Trip Reports link in our bio.

The mountains should be enjoyed and celebrated by The mountains should be enjoyed and celebrated by everyone. As a guide service, we work hard to build community through our love for the mountains, and always strive to meet people from all walks of life wherever they are.

We’re honored to have shared a tremendously successful day of ice climbing near Telluride with an amazing group of women from our local Latino community.

Huge thanks to the @telluridemountainclub and @telluridelibrary for partnering with us to make this happen. The positive energy from that day is still lingering, and we can’t wait for similar trips in the future!

Our inaugural Women’s Intro to Ski Mountaineerin Our inaugural Women’s Intro to Ski Mountaineering Weekend with @telluridehelitrax last weekend was a great success. The heli bump and deluxe base camp at 12,000’ made things extra special.

Thanks to @revelshine Wines for helping along the après and to guides @k.m.walden and @madcrowell for organizing. This was our first all-women’s event in the San Juans! The base camp gave us a bit of a taste of what’s to come this spring in Alaska.

Will you be joining us next year?

Time to get our heads back in the game: We have a Time to get our heads back in the game: We have a large storm system making a blustery entrance to the North San Juan Zone surrounding Telluride. With high winds (upwards of 40-60 mph gusts) and impressive snow totals forecasted (up to three feet), our avalanche danger will undoubtedly rise rapidly.

If you want to develop your skills for traveling in avalanche terrain, recognizing hazard and diving into snow science, we still have space on our Rec Level 2 Course March 18-20, 2022. We have Rec Level 1 Courses Feb 25-27 and March 12-14 as well. Reach out to us for availability.

Otherwise, let’s all rejoice in this return of winter. 🙌🏼

BIG congrats to @josie.tuthill and Chris Burt for BIG congrats to @josie.tuthill and Chris Burt for reaching the summit of Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America at 22,841 feet (6,961 meters)!

After taking last season off due to Covid, we’re psyched to have been able to get back on the mountain. We had to wait out a little weather, but overall it was an excellent trip!
