Each season, we work with teams of climbers from different parts of the world, in an effort to help climbers from different cultural backgrounds have a great experience on North America’s tallest mountain. A Norwegian mountain guiding company called Hvitserk contacted us to help organize an expedition for a group of Norwegian climbers. We are thrilled to share our knowledge of Denali with Hvitserk’s team of climbers.
Joining us will be one of their long time guides, Thor Elvebakk. The team will meet in Anchorage on May 11, and depart for the Kahiltna Glacier the following day.
The team members include:
The Mountain Trip guide team in comprised of:
Caitlin Hague from Alaska
Nick Aiello from New Hampshire
Jack McGee from California
We will update as often as we hear from the team. Please keep in mind that communications from the rugged Alaska Range can be challenging on a good, clear day. When the weather is challenging, calls on satellite phones can be even more disrupted. If a day or two passes with no update, please hold onto the age old saying of, “No news is good news!”
