The team is back at Vinson Base Camp, following a very successful summit day. They packed up their camp and made the long march back down the Branscomb Glacier today and have been feasting on steaks and Chilean wine back in the relative luxury of our big dome tent at Base Camp.
They might fly back to Union Glacier tomorrow, but, as always, the weather will dictate when they can fly. They are not due to fly off the Ice until the 29th, but occasionally a flight will come through Union Glacier camp that has space on it, so they could get back to Punta Arenas a bit sooner.
Enjoy the call from Antarctica and we echo the team’s wishes for a very Merry Christmas and happy holidays to each and every one of you out there. Best wishes!
