June 7 Team – Carried around Windy Corner

Assistant guide Brady Deal called in from the 11,200′ site of the June 7th team’s Camp 2.  Today, they carried loads of supplies up and around a famous (sometimes infamous!) feature called Windy Corner.  Today, the team would have welcomed a breeze, as it was hot, hot HOT!

Strange but true – it can be very warm on a glacier at 13,000′ on North America’s tallest peak.  Today the sun was out and with little to no wind, the solar reflection made it one of those days.

The team dug a hole in the snow at about 13,500′ and deposited their supplies before descending back to camp at 11,200′.

Here’s Brady!
